About Tony Baltimore

A man with a red guitar

Tony Baltimore, born and raised in urban Maryland by working-class parents of Italian descent, imbibed the essence of hard work from an early age. Spending his early years perfecting his craft in the mid-Atlantic region, Tony found his true calling in the musically-rich town of Key West in 2010.

There, he found not just a town but a thriving, eclectic culture that defied stereotypes. This culture nurtured his genre-bending “alternative roots-rock” sound, allowing him to experiment and evolve as an artist.

Key West's free-spirited vibe helped Tony weave a vast array of influences into his unique sound, taking full advantage of the town's unconventional musical landscape. Tony’s approach to music is fearless, incorporating diverse influences, from the lively rhythms of New Orleans to the melodious Beatles-era pop/rock.

Baltimore’s music resonates with audiences in the beachside bars of Key West and far beyond. His discography boasts four albums, with "Let’s All Go Insane" being a particular standout. Produced amidst a global pandemic, it showcases Tony’s ability to infuse his tracks with influences from various musical worlds.

This dedication and talent didn’t go unnoticed. In 2022, “Let’s All Go Insane” made it to the number 1 spot in The Roots Music Report’s Top 50 Florida Album Chart, along with songs claiming the number 1, 2 and 7 spots in the Song Chart. The Key West Music Awards celebrated him as the "Songwriter of the Year", and he graced the world-famous 2022 Fantasy Fest as the Grand Marshall.

Beyond the beaches of Key West, Tony Baltimore's music has made waves on the East Coast and across Europe. With the anticipated release of his fourth album, "Hello Bordello", Tony returned to his rock roots, expanding his audience and solidifying his position as an emerging force on the global music scene. The album, a celebration of musical finesse and freedom, promises to further bridge the gap between the melodic and the abstract, echoing Tony's philosophy of uninhibited musical expression.
